Day 3

Today, once I finally woke up after partying I had lunch.... shortly after lunch we (we being Mike, Silke, Christian, and I) went for a car ride to go check out an old castle about half an hour away. I had an amazing view from the top of the castle which I'd love to post the pictures and show everybody but I conveniently forgot the memory card in my laptop back at the house. Silke thankfully had her camera with her but I haven't had the chance to get the pictures off of it so hopefully tomorrow you guys will be able to see what I saw. But, I will say that the view was breath taking! Not just because it was so beautiful but also because of the long up-hill trek we made about 5 seconds previously. After our short castle excursion we drove into a city (I have no idea what it's called) and went for a walk around the city. We sat down at a table that over looked a lake and ate some ice cream. Again, Silke has the pictures of it and I'll do my best to get them up tomorrow. But, I can say that it was like nothing I've ever had before. It was pretty big and something that I've only ever seen in movies or on tv. We then went and did a little bit of grocery shopping in the city because the town that we are living in, everything is closed on Sundays. My mind is still blown every time I see any sort of beverage price here, especially beer. A 500 mL can of Heineken sells for 1,19 euros. Once you get to the beer that isn't such a big brand name it gets even cheaper such as the 2 4 of cans that I saw for 15 euros. That was pretty much my day. After shopping we came home and I could barely keep my eyes open on the way home. So I had a nap, woke up, ate supper, hung out with Mike in his house and then got ready for bed and now I'm letting you know about my day. So, that's all for today and hopefully something really exciting will happen soon.
